Alex the Pole Twink

POLE & FLOORWORK INSTRUCTORAlex, an NYC native, started his pole journey in early 2016. Since then, Alex has graduated from the Body&Pole workstudy program, performed all over NYC, has become both Elevat-ED and Liquid Motion certified, and has taught at multiple pole studios throughout NY.
As a pole dance instructor, Alex’s mission is to help individuals discover capabilities they never thought possible, and to have fun while doing so.

Alicia Gerstein

POLE & FLOORWORK INSTRUCTORAlicia is a dancer and performer with a background in contemporary dance, puppetry, and stilt dance. She is interested in exploring expressivity and sensuality at all heights, and loves how pole dance opens new dimensions of possibility in movement. In addition to teaching pole dance and flexibility, she is a certified Liquid Motion instructor and MELT Method instructor; and she hopes to help students increase their body awareness for healthy and effective movement on and off the pole.

Anaika (Nikey)

If there is one thing Nikey enjoys is teaching a room full of beautiful people and shouting “Yaaaaaasss”. She is super honored to be a teacher at Full Circle! Come slink and strengthen that body.

Aparna

POLE INSTRUCTORAparna started pole dancing in 2014 on a whim at Sacred Yoga in Bedstuy – and immediately fell hard for the community and the sport. She is lucky to know so many brilliant dancers through pole since then, in Brooklyn and NYC. Aparna loves spin, flow, and to perform. She has over 15 years experience teaching different subjects in various contexts, including art and math, and began teaching pole in 2022. In her classes, Aparna emphasizes bodily awareness, finding your own way through connected sequences, following movements through, and letting go. Pole is her space of joy, and she operates from that place as a a teacher. Outside of pole, Aparna is an oil painter.

Brigitte Madera

POLE INSTRUCTORBrigitte is a pole dance instructor from NYC. With her vast knowledge as a dancer (both grounded and aerial) she sees movement as the ultimate form of therapy and self expression. Brigitte’s biggest goal for her students is for them to fall in love with the journey, which in turn will have them to gain the skills and confidence to find their authentic voices as movers. Brigitte is beyond honored and excited to be a part of the Full Circle team!

Cam

POLE INSTRUCTORCam is a Brooklyn based pole artist, performer, instructor, and producer. Their background is in contemporary dance, but they have been trained from a young age in various styles. Their movement style is deeply influenced by contemporary techniques, their time dancing in NYC clubs, and their love for freestyle exploration. Cam enjoys creating work with opposing themes of unease/sensuality, tension/fluidity, precision/impulse. As an instructor, Cam focuses on seamless transitions, developing strong technique, and making dance feel accessible at any level.

Cassandra

Cassandra is a pole dancer based in Brooklyn, NY. Her relationship with pole started January 2019 while she was in her second year of graduate school. Looking for new ways to move her body and help relieve some stress from her demanding program, she took her first pole class with her sister and loved pole since then. During the peak of the COVID pandemic she began to understand her own style as a pole dancer due to more free time to focus on her skills. Cassandra’s specialty is spin pole and creating aerial tricks and shapes that embodies softness and strength. Outside of pole, Cassandra is a huge fan of music and attends concerts often. She also enjoys trying out the tons of restaurants New York City has to offer, and spending time with loved ones.

Coleen

POLE INSTRUCTORColeen is a Vietnamese-American dancer and performer. Coleen started her dance journey in the Bay Area, where she learned tap as a young child. However, it wasn’t until she was recruited into her high school breakdance club when she began to find her voice through hip-hop and street dance.
After moving to NYC, Coleen began pole dancing in 2018 and immediately fell in love with its gravity-defying athleticism and emphasis on unapologetic individual expression. She’s since gone on to perform at venues all over the city, teach across the country, and create Essence Unleashed, an all-levels pole artistry intensive.
Through her work, Coleen aims to share the transformative powers of dance, self-belief, and community.

Edwina Nunez

Edwina is a pole and floorwork instructor whose teaching is rooted in embodiment and self-expression. As a certified Liquid Motion instructor, she creates a supportive space where students are encouraged to move with intention, curiosity, and confidence. Her classes emphasize fluidity, strength, and connection to the body—honoring where you are while inviting you to explore what’s possible.

Emily Sanderson

FOUNDER & OWNER, POLE & FLEXIBILITY INSTRUCTOREmily is the founder and owner of Full Circle. She's been teaching movement for more than half her life and pole dancing since 2012. As a teacher she loves teaching mindful and challenging movement and helping students realize their potential is so much more expansive than they thought. As a business owner she is passionate about creating spaces that people feel good in and making opportunities for people to connect. In her spare time you can find reading, dancing, and her hanging with her dog Soba.

Evan is a dancer and instructor based in NYC. He started pole dancing in 2019 and has since gone on to work with pole studios in different capacities along with teaching and performing. Gina

Gina is a multi-disciplinary artist and a full time teacher & performer based in NYC. She has performed at a multitude of venues across NYC & internationally. Her arts & movement background includes Tae-Kwon-Do, D1 Track & Field, and a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania.

Kana

POLE & FLEXIBILITY INSTRUCTOR
Kana is a former competitive gymnast and cheerleader who began teaching movement as a teenager. After a period when work and school pulled her away from her body, she found her way back through pole in the summer of 2022.
As an instructor, Kana cultivates collaborative classroom experiences that invite movement freedom, creativity, and awareness. With a sharp technical eye and a grounding presence, she encourages dancers to engage in their own learning—getting curious about how they move so they can emerge more fully as themselves through dance.
Outside the studio, Kana loves gardening and birdwatching. She also dedicates her time to birth advocacy and volunteers in support of survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.

Kenny

Kenny has been working hard to perfect her sensual yet powerful style of pole dancing and it showed placing 1st for USPDF Novice Sexy 2017 pole competition. Since then she has been performing in various shows, music videos and events. She aspires to one day dance in a music video with her favorite artist Drake but in the meantime enjoys learning different techniques and styles of pole dancing and sharing her years of pole dance and flexibility to her students.

As a pole and flexibility instructor, Lara began teaching in 2012, and prides herself on individual assessment, as well as offering an accessible and progressive class environment. Lara was an active national and international pole competitor from 2012 to 2018, winning accolades with the Asia Pole Championship, as well as capturing the title of 2017 United States Pole Dance Federation National Champion. She is a structural integration practitioner and enjoys facilitating all levels of movers to move better in their bodies.

Marianne

Marianne is a pole teacher and performer based in Brooklyn who took her first Intro to Pole class in 2016. She began teaching in 2021, and now feels incredibly fortunate to work and create on poles across NYC & beyond.In addition to a three-month long teacher training program, she has completed ElevatED 1, 2, and Flexibility certifications. Additionally, as a certified Body Ready Method movement coach, she is uniquely equipped to work with pre- and post-partum dancers and movers of all levels.
Marianne is known for her soft energy and technical teaching style. Ask her about tarot, her dog’s boyfriend, and the best vegan carrot cake recipe ever.

Originally from Miami, Mel moved to New York City in 2014. With over a decade of professional performance experience, she has worked as a performer and go-go dancer at numerous nightclubs and festivals throughout the East Coast. Drawing from her background in Ballet and Shaolin Kung Fu, her unique style fuses technical precision with martial discipline. She specializes in Low Flow, choreography, and MELT Method for injury prevention. Her teaching emphasizes musicality and emotional depth, guiding students toward evocative, seamless movement.

Stella my Bella

Stella is a Brooklyn-based pole dance instructor and performer with 18 years of experience. She brings deep knowledge of strength training, mobility, injury prevention, floor work, and freestyle to her teaching. Certified since 2011, she holds credentials from X-Pert, Animal Flow, elevatED, Liquid Motion, Floor Flow, and Invert Ready, and is CPR/AED certified. Stella continually enriches her practice through self-directed movement exploration and studies in art, culture, psychology, and philosophy. As a performer, she has appeared at House of Yes, NY Fashion Week, The Slipper Room, and more. Her style is playful, energetic and provocative. She aims to delight and thrill her audience, all while connecting in a way that brings the observer IN!

Tamara-Star

POLE & FLOORWORK INSTRUCTORTamara is a highly intuitive mover who delves deep into personal research, constantly exploring, practicing, and refining movements and techniques to share her findings with others. She believes in the power of prioritizing how movement feels in the body over how it looks and guides those in her classes to focus on connecting to their bodies.
Dancers in her classes express that Tamara has a way of unlocking new ways of moving and thinking for them - as a freestyle mover herself, she teaches techniques and transitions but encourages dancers to explore and expand on their movements. She specializes in Move Like a Memory: a low, and slow flow, Liquid Motion, Heels and Spin Fluidity.
With Tamara you can count on a playlist that will set the vibe.

Tresa Stephens

POLE INSTRUCTORTresa has been a pole dancer, aerialist, and all around studio rat for the last 9 years. She started pole dancing in 2015 with no prior dance/athletic background, and completed ElevatEd pole instructor training in 2018 in Hawaii. When she’s not working her desk job in insurance during the week, she’s at the studio encouraging newer pole dancers to train the fundamentals (on both sides) and not to be afraid to take up space. Her favorite things about pole are the community and the incredible sense of self agency that comes with learning how to express yourself through movement.
